A Collin County jury on Thursday found Terrance Black guilty of capital murder in the beating death of his former girlfriend Susan Loper, a fitness instructor. “You, sir, are pure evil,” District Judge John Roach Jr. said as he imposed an automatic sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. The judge said because of the hard work of police, prosecutors and everyone involved, good prevailed. Click here for the story.
Frisco city hall offices and municipal court will be closed Monday for Labor Day. And the Frisco Public Library is closed Saturday through Monday. There will be no trash or recycling services Monday. Jet’s Pizza will open on Wednesday at 7151 Preston Road, Suite 331, at the southwest corner of Preston Road and Stonebrook Parkway in Frisco. It becomes the third location in Texas for the pizza place was originally founded in Sterling Heights, Mich. The other two locations are in Plano and Fort Worth. Click here to learn more.
Fifth District Court of Appeals Judge Jim Moseley will talk about the importance of down-ballot voting and the recent Supreme Court decision on the health care law at next week’s meeting of the Frisco Area Republicans.
